ABOUT
FERASHA FILMS is an independent film company founded by Amanda Ibrahim in 2008. Amanda combines passion for film making with compassion for those in need. She spent part of the summer of 2008 in Rwanda, Africa collecting footage, meeting street children, and volunteering at Umuryango Childrens Network. Over the summer of 2009, Amanda began a new documentary film project in Kolkata, India, devoted to documenting the lives of underclass women living in poverty.
Amanda is a senior at Drexel University and graduates December 2010, majoring in Entertainment & Arts Management and a minor in Business Administration. She recently interned at CBS News in New York City during the summer of 2009 and hopes to pursue a career in TV production.
In her spare time, Amanda is highly involved in First Presbyterian Church's (Bethlehem, PA) worship team where she sings, plays her violin and beloved Martin guitar. Her other hobbies include cooking, riding her bicycle in Philadelphia, and spending time with family and friends.
Ferasha means butterfly in arabic.
